NOTD: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Snow Globe (New Formulation) and Essie's To But Or Not Too Buy Review

I am COMPLETELY in love with one of these two nail polishes! If you want to know which one it is then keep reading and I promise I will tell you!

I picked both of these polishes up about a week ago at CVS. The Sally Hansen Polish was in an end cap display, the new nail headquarters which popping up at select CVS locations. To see a picture of the display click here . The Essie polish was in a limited edition summer display that I know it was not part of. It was actually part of the Essie Navigate Her Spring 2012 collection, so I am guessing it was just lying around somewhere in the back and it got put out on the floor.

I was extremely excited when I found out Sally Hansen was re-doing their Complete Salon Manicure Polishes. I already have a lot of these polishes and I LOVE them. I was starting to get bored with their selection of colors since I already have all of the ones that I want, so YAY for new colors.

Snow Globe is the first one that caught my eye when I saw the display at CVS. I am a sucker for these type of clear/iridescent glitters. This one has different size glitter particles in a clear base and applied very nicely over the Essie polish. I'm not sure if it was because of the color I put it over or not but this is one of the most amazing polishes I have ever used. I will be using it over other colors in the near future to see if it looks just as Gorgeous! You can find Snow Globe at CVS and Walgreens(these are the only two places I have seen it) for about $8.

So now that you know which polish I am completely obsessed with, lol, let me tell you about the other. Essie To Buy Or Not To Buy is a pale lavender with very teeny tiny blue glitter flecks in it. It looks absolutely beautiful in the bottle. Unfortunately you do not get the same effect when you apply it to your nails. I still like this color though and with Snow Globe over it it's PERFECT. You can find To Buy Or Not To Buy online for around $8.

After I completed my nail look I kept looking at it and all I could think about was snow. It just seemed like a Winter Wonderland on my nails.

Hard Candy Living Doll Baked Blush Review

I found myself wandering around the make-up section of Walmart the other day and I discovered quiet a few fun new things. Since I haven't been to Walmart in.... I can't even remember how long there were tons of new things for me to throw into my shopping cart, especially from Hard Candy since the only place you can find it is Walmart. Here is my review on one of the wonderful new things I found.

This Hard Candy Baked Blush in Living Doll #125 really caught my eye! Living Doll is a bright soft pink with a swirl of peachy/orange in it! There is no glitter in this blush but it does have a nice glowy effect to it, you don't need a highlight with this blush. I am a huge fan of these type of blushes, even though I still always use a highlighter lol. I am a medium skin tone and it is pretty light on me, I don't have to worry about putting too much on and I think that it would look great on lighter skin tones as well.

I've used this blush for the past week and I am really enjoying it, especially on days when I have a really dramatic lip or eye look. I have not tried it wet so I'm not sure how intense the color actually is, let me know if you've tried it out. This blush also has a long wear time and I don't see it fading off for at least 8 hours. That's a huge plus especially with a $6 price tag. I would definitely recommend this blush, it's a keeper.

NOTD: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear The Real Teal and Wet N Wild Fergie Hollywood Walk Of Fame

I've got a new NOTD post. And this is a good one too. I'm a huge fan of turquoise/aqua/teal colors on my nails, so naturally I loved this nail look that I went with!

This is definitely a look I will be repeating, because I LOVE it!!!!

Wet N Wild Fergie Hollywood Walk of Fame, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear The Real Teal, Pure Ice My Wonderland

I love the idea of Wet N Wild Fergie's Hollywood Walk of Fame, the stars are so much fun for an accent nail. I just have one little issue with this polish, it is very hard to get the stars on your nails without getting tons of clear polish with them. Other than that I love it. When I used this polish I got some of the stars on the brush and then used a pair of tweezers to put the stars on my nails. It was really easy and it also made it so I could put the stars wherever I wanted on my nail. You can find this polish at RiteAid, Walgreens, CVS and other drugstores that carry Wet N Wild. It retails for about $3.49.

There are tons of positive reviews out there about this next polish Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear The Real Teal and I would have to agree with them. The Real Teal is a teal/aqua/turquoise with a nice shimmer effect. There is no glitter in this polish, just a shimmery reflective quality that is quite nice. The consistency of this polish is really good. At first it seems to be really thick but it applies very nicely with full coverage in 2 coats. You can find this at most drugstores for around $3.

The last step in this nail look was Pure Ice My Wonderland which I think is my favorite part of this look, I'm sure that's because it's a GLITTER. My wonderland is a bright turquoise/aqua fine glitter that is very dense. I only needed two light coats to get a very intense coverage of glitter. This is a great polish especially for $1.99 found at Walmart (I'm not sure if you can find them anywhere else).

(Outdoor Shade)

(Outside Direct Sunlight)

(Indoors Natural light)

That's all for now, but don't worry those stars will be popping up a lot more in future NOTD posts. Have a great rest of your weekend! Only 17 days until Christmas! :)

NOTD: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Gilty Party Review

As I promised in my monday questionnaire yesterday, here is what is on my nails at this very moment! I was going for an ombre glitter look and it didn't come out quite like I wanted!

I'm sure you can see how I completely failed at the Ombre thing! lol Oh well. Anyway, I recently found the newly formulated Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes at CVS in the new Nail HQ display!

I was pretty excited to find this display! It includes, the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure, Essie, New Revlon Brilliant Strength and Sally Hansen Gel Polish. The Revlon polishes come in some amazing new colors I can't wait to try out. I picked up two of the Revlon and two of the Sally Hansen. One of them being Sally Hansen Gilty Party!

Gilty Party 130 is Silver with extremely fine red and pink glitter! I think that this color is very unique. I can not think of any other polishes that I own that are similar to this one. It has a rosy tint to it because of the glitter! In the bottle it looks like a taupey silver. The consistency of this polish is really nice to work with. It took two coats to get full coverage.

For the glitter I used Maybelline Color Show Sequins Rose Bling 825.This is a chunky rosy pink glitter with lots of different size glitter in a clear base. I have  used a few of the Sequin Limited edition polishes and they were awesome. This one Rose Bling, not so much! This was extremely difficult to work with, it was really thick and goopy. The color is Beautiful, but the hassle is definitely not worth it. There are other glitters out there that are very similar to this one.

(Outdoor Lighting no flash)

(left: indoor daylight no flash, Right: night time with flash)

As I said before I failed miserably with the whole ombre thing, I've done it before and it was pretty easy and I was happy with how it turned out. I'm going to have to blame this time's failure on the Rose Bling Glitter. I do also have to mention that this polish didn't work well for the Ombre thing and I'm not positive but I think if I was using it differently it would have been a lot easier to work with.

Bye Bye
