NEW L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadow Review

About a week ago I did a post on my Walgreens Haul, which included the new L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadows. As I mentioned before I was SOOOOOO ecstatic and couldn't believe my eyes when I found them. I have used the 4 that I bought a few times and I am ready to review them!

So as I mentioned in my last post I found these at Walgreens and they were around $8 each. I think that is a little pricey, but I know that once they land at CVS , RiteAid, Etc they won't be as pricey. For some reason Walgreens prices are so much higher than other drugstores. They were BOGO 50% off when I picked them up so it wasn't so bad.

On to what I think of these shadows! I think they are pretty darn good! I used each of them at least once so far. I think that these are a nice improvement over the previous shadows. The texture of these shadows is very nice and initially I thought there would be a lot of fallout because of how soft they were, but there was hardly any. They were also very easy to blend, very easy to work with . Blue Haute Couture was the easiest to work with for some reason.

I used these with a primer every time. The longest I had these shadows on for was about 10 hours and I saw no creasing or fading which is a huge plus. I have hooded eyelids so creasing is a common issue I have.

I am not a huge fan of the packaging however. I was very surprised after seeing pics online and then actually seeing these in person, they looked much fancier in the pics. I think they look a bit cheap. They are very compact and small thought which I do really like.

Overall I think these are great for a drugstore Eyeshadow, great job L'Oreal. These don't compare to the L'Oreal Infallible Eye shadows, which I think are the BEST Drugstore shadows out there. But the Infallible Eye shadows are in a league of their own. I am looking forward to these being released in more colors for me to experiment with. :)

NOTD: L'oreal Colour Riche So Chic! Review

L'oreal has recently released their new holiday collection including a very pretty sparkly nude nail color. Now this is not a color I usually go for, but I really loved the way this color looked in the bottle.

L'oreal Colour Riche So Chic! is a pinky nude with very very fine silver and gold glitter. The glitter is so finely milled that it is more of a shimmery look than a glittery one. Once I applied this to my nails it was much more of a nude color than a pink one. To be honest it was much different than I expected.

It looks a lot pinker in the natural light!

The consistency of this polish was very nice and easy to work with, it is however pretty sheer. It took me 3 coats to get it to full opacity. This is a great color for someone looking for a nude with a little somethin somethin! I usually go for really bright, glittery or dark colors, this was a nice change and I think that the name says it all So Chic! I have seen the L'oreal Diamond Collection display at CVS, RiteAid and Walgreens and the price is around $5.

NOTD: Sally Hansen All Fired Up Review

I am getting in the Holiday spirit with my nails. I went with a very classic red color. I was trying to decide what color to paint them and I couldn't remember the last time I had painted them red, so that's what I did.

Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure Polishes are by far one of the best formulations of polish out there, especially in the drugstore. They are currently in the process of re-releasing these polishes with a new formulation and new colors. My guess is that they will bring in some of the past limited edition shades as well as some of the current colors and hopefully some new colors. I know that they have been spotted in Walgreens and CVS, but I have not seen them yet. I am anxious to try them out and see if I notice any differences. One of the nicest things about these polishes is that they have a base coat and a top coat built into the polish.

All Fired up is a classic bright red that leans a bit on the orangey side. This is bot a very unique color. There are many other brands with basically the same color. For example I have Essie's Too Too Hot and when I swatched the two of them on my nails I couldn't tell the difference. However there is one major difference, the consistency of the Essie polish doesn't even come close to the Sally Hansen one.

On my accent nail I have Essie Luxe Effects Set in stones, which is silver glitter with all different sizes of glitter in a clear base. This is a great glitter for layering and it is very easy to work with. Essie ploishes are generally known for having a concistency that is difficult to work with, but this one is not (especially for a glitter).

Neither of these polishes are limited edition so this should be pretty easy to track down if you need to get your hands on them. You may even be able to find Sally Hansen All Fired Up at a discounted price. I know Walgreens was selling them for more than 50% to get ready for the NEW ones. Hopefully CVS, RiteAid, Target Etc with follow suit and do the same.

Don't mind the mess on my thumb! lol

I hope you like my red NOTD, leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite red is!

Walgreens Haul: New L'oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadows and Sinful Colors Display

I found the new L'oreal Colour Riche eye shadows at Walgreens the other night and I couldn't believe my eyes! Seriously though, I feel like every time a new drugstore product is spotted and other bloggers and YouTube gurus start talking about it I get so excited to find it and try it out myself. Unfortunately for me where I live makes it hard to do that (I don't know why but most things take forever to hit the stores here). :( I am always searching for what feels like forever for new products, so the fact that I found these so fast made my whole day, well night since it was like midnight!

I also found some other fun items! My favorite Mouse Herbal Essence Volumizing Mouse, this stuff smells AMAZING (shout out to my friend Jess for introducing this stuff to me). It was on sale for $2.99 and I got $3 back in register rewards, so it was basically free. I picked up the Soho Beauty Sponge for $7.99, this looks like a dupe for the beauty blender and it's less than half the price.

There was a new Sinful Colors end cap display with a bunch of nail polishes, nail art polishes, lip glosses and best of all GLITTER! The glitter was my fave find of course, they were $1.99 each. I will be doing a review of these once I get a chance to use them. The nail polishes were also $1.99.

Here are some pics of the display

Some of these Sinful Colors are part of their permanent collection and their are also some new ones in here that are most likely limited edition, so if you see one you like you should get it while you can! I saw some of these colors on a different display at RiteAid also.

And here are the L'oreal Colour Riche Eye Shadows...

These are the first two i picked up. The one on the right is 313 Neon Skirt and the one on the left is 105 Rose for Romance. There were 6 quads in the display that I saw at Walgreens. I of course had to go back the next day and I picked up two more.

And these are the second two that I picked up, the one on the left is 817 So Over It and the one on the right is 211 Blue Haute Couture (love that name).

I have used the L'oreal Colour Riche Eye shadows twice now, I will being doing a review on these shortly, so keep an eye out for that!

Bye Bye
 xoxo Ashley

NOTD: Essie Butler Please Review

It's been a few days since my last post, I know, but I have been WAY too busy working, hanging out with my sister and working. Oh did I mention WORKING! So as much as I wanted to keep up with the everyday posting, it was damn near impossible. I am still recovering from the lack of sleep from the past few days, but I'm here with another NOTD, because we all know, and if you don't you do now, that i paint my nails way too often!

This is Essie Butler Please and it is from their Holiday 2012 collection. This is almost an exact dupe for Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, which is one of the most amazing blue's EVER. Butler Please is a tad bit darker than Pacific Blue. I wish I could say that I love this polish, but I just can't. The consistency of this polish is a pain in the butt, it applies pretty thick and goopy. However I really think that the color is worth the trouble and you only need 2 coats to reach full opacity. This polish retails for about $8 at Target, RiteAid, Walgreens and Ulta.

On my ring finger/accent nail I have Sinful Colors Faceted, It's a really pretty glitter top coat with blue, purple, green and the tinsely things! lol I found this at Rite Aid $1.99, I also saw it at Walgreens the other day, and I think its limited edition. I really like the consistency of this glitter, it went on very smooth and even. This is a new favorite glitter, for sure!

If you like this color, or love it like i do I say it's worth the $8. But to be honest I think that Sally Hansen's Pacific blue is cheaper, WAY better consistency and I like the color just a teeny bit more! So really you should skip this and go get SH Pacific Blue unless you already have it of course!

Bye Bye
